How HealthHelpNest evaluates evidence — and why you can check our work.

Our Evidence Hierarchy

Not all evidence is equal. When we make a health claim, we weight sources in this order:

  • 1. Systematic reviews & meta-analyses — pooled results of many trials; the strongest evidence.
  • 2. Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) — the gold standard for testing whether something works.
  • 3. Cohort and observational studies — useful for patterns, weaker for cause and effect.
  • 4. Clinical guidelines from bodies like the NIH, AASM, and ACG.
  • 5. Expert opinion — used sparingly, always labeled as such.

How We Rate Supplements

Supplement content uses plain evidence labels: Strong (consistent RCT/meta-analysis support), Moderate (some trials, mixed results), Limited (early or animal-stage research). Marketing claims never influence a rating.

Citations

Every article lists numbered references to primary sources — PubMed-indexed studies and major medical institutions — so you can verify claims yourself.

Updates & Corrections

Articles display their last-updated date and are re-reviewed as new evidence emerges. Found an error? Tell us — corrections are prioritized.
